Go Indie | Adopt Don't Shop

I have always had a soft corner for Indian street dogs. Be it little pups with the dreamiest of eyes, or the adult dogs who refuse to grow up, I love all furries out there. No matter how tough their lives have been, Indian street dogs will welcome you with all the warmth in their hearts, they will still carry a sparkle in their eyes. People who can't look beyond the 'street dog”' in them, don't know what they are missing out here!
Here are few of my favourite rescue cases that I have been involved with lately. Even though life has brought them down couple of times, these tough indies refuse to give up! All these beautiful stories are a reminder that every dog deserves a family, a home that they can call their own, a place where they will be adored and looked after, humans that will make sure they never sleep without a meal again.

It isn’t easy being a mother dog on the streets. The one in the above is called Mother.

CAMO ft. Missamore

Army Green (or Olive Green) is slowly taking over my wardrobe this season. It is the right mix of chic and tough for me!
I recently spotted this Olive Camouflage cover- up at Missamore, and immediately started creating outfits around it in my mind. I'm mostly drawn towards Basics and Neutrals, but prints do catch my attention one in a while.

While the choices in the print are endless, the number of ways you can style it has no limits either! You can pair it with heels and go all uptown, or dress it down with brogues and a messy bun. Whether you want to opt for a grunge, sporty, girly or glamorous look, the Camo Print can work across all angles!

I paired this fabulous Camo print over-sized cover- up with a pastel yellow (my version of bright) dress from Vero Moda, and finished the look with a pair of pointed- toe pumps and a fur clutch. This look is quite appropriate for summer brunches!
On regular days, I like to wear the cover- up with a pair of mom jeans, a tight little crop top and a pair of sneakers. I'd also love to try it out with a gold sequined midi dress.

The key to rocking the Camo Print is going one piece at a time, and not overdoing it or you can end up looking like you're on duty! Let the Camo Print be the statement piece of your outfit by wearing it with  solid colors! Adding color and textures like lace and sequins can help soften the look and add a feminine touch to your outfit. So, don't hesitate to experiment!
